Mojave Memorial Cross (MIA)

This image is from Memorial Day 2010 when I went to visit the site of the vandalized Mojave Memorial Cross.  The wreath was place by veterans commemorate Memorial Day and to mark the site of the missing cross.  To me the whole saga of the Mojave Memorial Cross is less about freedom of religion, but more the right to memorialize our country’s veterans and recognize their supreme sacrifice. I also feel strongly, that many in the USA are forgetting the the bravery and sacrifice of our wounded serviceman and women.
